Delete Your Circle Account

You can permanently delete your Circle account and its data directly from within the app, in under a minute. No need to email anyone or wait for a support ticket.

How to delete your account

Open the Circle app and sign in
Go to the Settings tab
Scroll to the Danger Zone section
Tap Delete My Account
Enter your password to confirm

Your account is deleted immediately upon confirmation - there is no waiting period.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes, right away:

Your profile (name, email, password, avatar, mood, timezone, language, and settings)
Any circle you look after that you choose to delete, or that nobody else is in, for every member of that circle - not just you. Before deleting, you choose who takes over each of your other circles (the member who's been in it longest is suggested), so they carry on without you
All content you personally authored anywhere - gratitude notes, mood check-ins, daily reflection answers, wishlist items, planned moments, photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, comments, and care pings - including content you posted in circles created by other people
Your membership in any other circles you belong to
Your custom moods, push notification subscriptions, and signed-in sessions on every device
Your premium subscription status (cancelling any active subscription is handled separately through Google Play, since Google - not Circle - processes the payment)

This is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no retention period - nothing described above is kept after deletion.

Deleting only some of your data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific content - each of these has its own delete option, right where you posted it:

Gratitude notes: open the note in the Gratitude Jar, then tap the trash icon in the top-left corner
Photos, videos, voice memos, and written notes: tap the trash icon on the note card in the Moments tab
Daily reflection answers: open today's response on the Circle tab and tap Delete
Wishlist items and planned moments: tap the trash icon on the item in the Moments tab

Each of these deletes immediately and only removes that one piece of content - the rest of your account and content is unaffected.
