These terms of use are Circle's end-user license agreement (EULA). They cover your use of Circle, a private, invite-only space for couples and close friend groups to share moments, gratitude notes, and memories together. You agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy, before you create an account or sign in.
Circle is operated by Atela Ghoura, trading as Atelacious.
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Circle account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away at atelacious@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed it without your permission. Each account is tied to one email address.
You keep ownership of everything you post in Circle - photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, gratitude entries, and everything else. Posting it just gives Circle the limited permission we need to store it, back it up, and show it to the other members of your circle, exactly as the app's sharing settings say. We don't use your circle's private content to train AI models, and we don't sell it or use it for advertising.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't share anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that violates another person's privacy or rights.
Circle itself - the app and its software, its design and look, its text and illustrations, and its logo - belongs to Atela Ghoura (trading as Atelacious) and is protected by copyright. Your own content stays yours (see section 3).
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Circle as it's meant to be used, for as long as you follow these terms. Without our written permission, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent Circle or any part of it; copy its design, text, illustrations or logo into another product or website; or present another app, service or account as Circle or as connected to us.
Circles are private and invite-only. The person who looks after a circle - whoever created it, or a member it was handed to - can approve join requests, remove members, and hand the circle over to another member. If they delete the circle, it's removed for every member, not just them. If they leave or delete their account, the circle goes to another member they choose (or, if they don't choose, to the member who's been in it longest), unless they choose to delete it. Be thoughtful about who you invite: circle members can see everything shared to the whole circle.
Circle is built for real relationships between real people. Don't use it to:
Zero tolerance. Circle has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Uploaded photos are automatically screened for explicit content before other circle members can see them - see the Privacy Policy for details on how that works.
Reporting and blocking. You can report a post or a person from inside the app, and block anyone: blocking immediately hides everything they share from you, stops their notifications to you, and also notifies us. We review every report and block within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and remove the account of anyone who posted it.
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these rules, remove violating content, or both.
Circle offers an optional paid subscription, Circle+, that unlocks extra features (additional circles, exclusive soundscapes and effects, larger voice memos, and similar). Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and processed by our billing partner RevenueCat - Circle never sees or stores your payment card details.
You can permanently delete your account and its content at any time from Settings - see how account deletion works for exactly what gets removed. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 5, or if we're required to by law.
We work to keep Circle reliable and your content safe, but we can't promise the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given moment. Circle is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.
To the extent permitted by law, Circle and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Circle after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
